Scholarships for Indigenous Tamang Students
We offer iTamang scholarships to Indigenous Tamang young people attending university. Tamang students are motivated to dream big – and go for it. Our program provides wrap- around assistance to students so they feel supported to get the most from their higher education.
Financial support
Scholarships help with the costs of educational needs such as uniform, excursions, tutoring and equipment for school, including:
- laptops and school devices
- stationery
- backpacks
- textbooks
- home WiFi for homework.
Due to our focus on education, our supported students cannot use scholarship funds for school fees, sporting equipment or sportswear, driving lessons or entertainment.
Eligibility
iTamang Scholarships are available only to students in Nepal.
They’re available to Indigenous tamang students in university level.
Students are awarded a Scholarship based on:
- school attendance
- aspiration
- cultural identity
- giving back
- financial need.
We do not offer scholarships to students attending boarding school.
